Organ will be tuned in H.A. Kellner's "Bach" of 1978, a mild well temperament suited to music of all periods.
This instrument is to have a simple freestanding casework of fumed solid white oak with appropriate modern ornamentation stylistically similar to our Op. 22 at Christ Church in Tacoma, WA. Its Brustwerk, located in the lower case above the keyboards, is to have doors that can function somewhat like a Swell to adjust the sound level for various musical requirements. The PrÊstant 8' will begin with its own pipes (in faÁade) on 6' F.
This organ is to be placed in center of the rear gallery of church nave. Its blower and bellows are to be located in utility space immediately behind organ. As part of project, all acoustically harmful materials - especially carpeting in gallery and throughout the nave main floor level - will be removed from the room.
This instrument will be completed ASAP after Builder's current projects for Illinois and Japan: ca. 2004
The Rev. Jonathan Weldon, Vicar to the Parish Ms. Betty Jean Bartholomew, Music Director to the Parish.
