FISH – Friends in Service to Humanity

Lfishocally, FISH (Friends in Service to humanity) is a group of people who shown their concern for their neighbors through concrete actions. While there are FISH groups in many U.S. cities, each group operates independently. FISH is 100% volunteer based with no paid staff.

In in over 45 years plus of existence locally, FISH has supplied several hundred thousand meals and have provided many thousands of dollars in prescription assistance.

Fish provides

  • Emergency food aid
  • Prescription drug assistance
  • Propane
  • Bus Passes

And, in the cases where FISH cannot help, they connect those in need with other organizations that can provide longer term assistance. There is never a charge to the clients. FISH provides immediate, limited, short-term help to individuals and families who cannot get assistance quickly from other sources.

FISH always needs volunteers and donations of food and money.  You can contact FISH at (541) 689-9750 or by mail at
